The State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs has formally approved the following special versions of CARES® to meet the State of Florida dementia training requirements.

Get Certified by the Alzheimer's Association

As an option, ALF Level I and ALF Level II may be substituted to meet the Florida Adult Day Care (ADC), Hospice (HSP), Nursing Home (NH), or Home Health (HH) requirements. This will require you to complete 8 hours of training instead of 1-4 hours of training, depending upon your entity type. However, if you complete ALF Level I and ALF Level II, you will also be eligible for Alzheimer's Association® essentiALZ® and essentiALZ® Plus certification. Learn more.


CARES® Complete Catalog for Florida (for Organizations)

CARES® Florida Complete Catalog (for organizations) offers unlimited-user access (per location) to all CARES® online dementia care training programs (including all training required by the state of Florida), Alzheimer’s Association essentiALZ® certifications for professionals, and practical implementation tools and training resources.
