Culture change you can afford

"Culture change" is about a person-centered approach to caring for residents...and it starts with people. Train your staff with CARES Late Stage, and hold off on costly aspects of change, like redesigning your facility.

The CARES™ Late Stage Dementia Care Training Program was developed by HealthCare Interactive and the national office of the Alzheimer's Association. It is a 3-module (3-hour) online training program for CNAs, supervisors, nurses, social workers, administrators, and other direct-care workers. The modules—each approximately 1 hour in length—cover the following topics:

  • Introduction to Dementia
  • Rethinking Activities
  • Toileting
Late Stage training is based on person-centered care as introduced in the 10-module CARES Online Dementia Care Foundational Training program. Both programs feature video vignettes of real residents, real CNAs, and real staff members, with Late Stage providing instruction in an area that has limited training resources.
