CARES® Florida Complete Catalog offers unlimited-user access (per location) to all CARES® online dementia care training programs (including all training required by the state of Florida), Alzheimer’s Association essentiALZ® certifications for professionals, and practical implementation tools and training resources. The complete catalog offers up to 41 modules (36 hours) of interactive training featuring videos of real caregivers, families, and people with dementia, as well as access to an administrative portal to manage training compliance.

Learn evidence-based practices in addition to specialized techniques to help you and your staff provide person-centered care to people with dementia. Florida-specific programs cover mandated content and offer best-practice strategies for managing Alzheimer's and dementia symptoms at every stage of the disease. Other specialized CARES programs include more information on: managing dementia-related behavior (like resisting, calling out, hitting, swearing, and biting), recognizing and managing pain, performing ADLs such as bathing and toileting, rethinking wandering, managing falls, eliminating restraints, and giving end-of-life care.

The CARES Florida Complete Catalog includes up to 41 modules (36 hours) of online training:

*Individual staff members can earn Alzheimer's Association essentiALZ and essentiALZ Plus certifications by completing the ALF Levels I and II courses and passing an additional exam. This will require staff members to complete 8 hours of training instead of 1-4 hours of training, depending on facility type and role.

Other benefits include:

  • Alzheimer’s Association essentiALZ® and essentiALZ® Plus certifications (available for 5 programs: CARES Florida ALF Levels I and II and CARES DRB, EOL, and ADL)
  • Worksheets for each training module
  • CARES® Observational Tool (an easy-to-administer tool for assessing staff behavior before and after CARES® training)
  • Recertification training and exams for all certified essentiALZ courses

Site licenses also include access to the CARES administrative portal that allows you to:

  • Manage training compliance.
  • Evaluate the individual progress of all staff members.
  • Run customized training reports for any time period.
  • Download detailed documentation including employee name, module status, and date of program completion.
  • Print individual completion certificates for group training sessions.
